Boyden has been retained to assist in the appointment of a Head of Supply Chain for a leading precision manufacturer of specialist components for various applications in the medical, defence, and automotive sectors.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be a leader who can oversee and manage all sourcing and broader supply chain activities within the organisation, including defining the market buy strategy. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimising processes and contributing to the overall success of the company.


We are looking for candidates who have:


  • A deep knowledge and understanding of what is required to develop and maintain supply chain excellence, having a demonstrable track record of delivering the same in your career to date.
  • Extensive knowledge in similar fast-paced and agile manufacturing environments, understanding how optimum supply chains support stakeholders to delight the customer.
  • Proven experience in a senior procurement role, with a strong track record of success in managing international sourcing activities, managing suppliers, negotiating and leading teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.


You will be a high-caliber leader with a track record of leading transformational, cost-reduction initiatives without compromising product and service quality. You will have the ability to influence cross-functionally with a focus on driving continuous performance improvements through action plans derived from robust data analysis.

You will be an excellent communicator, able to set the vision and support the team to achieve it, and an ethical person. Your experience may have been built in automotive, aerospace, energy, medical, or another industrial environment where there is high customer expectation,

engineering complexity, and varied manufacturing processes involving materials and assembly. You will have a passion for developing people and delivering best-in-class supply chains.
