The successful Engineering Team Leader will lead a dynamic team responsible for both New Product Development (NPD) and Sustaining Engineering activities in a fast-paced component MRO business.
Your role will focus on innovating and improving repair processes, while also managing the introduction of new products and ensuring the long-term reliability of existing product lines.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, and supply chain, to ensure the seamless execution of engineering tasks from concept to delivery.
To be successful in this role of Engineering Team Leader we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in an engineering role, ideally within an MRO or aerospace environment. (highly desirable)
Experience of line management responsibilities and leading a team (essential)
Hands-on experience with electrical, hydraulic and mechanical aircraft components and assemblies (highly desirable).
Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis and failure investigations using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and FMEA. (highly desirable)
Proven experience in designing and building test tooling and rigs (highly desirable).
Strong understanding of technical drawings and documentation (essential).
Familiarity using 2D & 3D CAD (Fusion 360) and FEA software (highly desirable).
Strong experience in New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering, with a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget (highly desirable).
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques (highly desirable).
Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations, including AS9100, CAA/EASA & FAA Part 145 (essential).
Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline (HNC/HND acceptable with extensive experience).
