Summary ofRole:
This is an excitingopportunity for a Systems Engineer to work within the RaytheonAssured Position Navigation and Timing (APNT) Engineering team,part of the wider Systems & Products business unit, toproduce Digital GPS Anti-Jam Systems and Alternative NavigationSolutions for the military market.
The role will provide support across Raytheon'srange of APNT products, providing Systems Engineering expertiseacross the product lifecycle, from requirements capture, analysis,design through to testing, qualification, and certificationactivities.
MainDuties:
The role will providesupport to the System Design Authority and Systems Engineering TeamLeaders with the development and management of projectrequirements, generation of technical documentation. Systemsanalysis and design work and participation in technical designreviews. Further, supporting the Systems Team in the generation ofbid proposal material and submission of bids in response tocustomer requests..
The rolewill be based at Raytheon's Harlow facility and the successfulcandidate will have access to professional developmentopportunities and be part of the growing Raytheon Technologiesteam, where the candidate will be required to undertake developmentstudies and investigation activities involving product performanceand interfacing with various internalstakeholders.
The role willinvolve working in a highly technical environment, supporting theteam as well as working autonomously, laboratory work will beinvolved for product testing. Taking on complex challenges andproducing a solution that follows company process in a timelymanner is an essential part of the role. A successful candidatewill be comfortable integrating into a large team to accomplishtheir goals.
CandidateRequirements:
Essential
- Experienceacross the systems engineering lifecycle from requirements throughto certification
- Experience with generation oftechnical documentation (internal and forcustomers)
- Understanding of policies, practisesand procedures, and the ability to communicate these to theirteam.
- Ability to work in a team and perform toproject directives
- Ability to workautonomously, with limited oversight from Team Leaders andManagement
- Degree in STEM (Science, Technology,Electrical Engineering, Mathematics) orsimilar
- Eligible for SCclearance
Desirable
- Knowledgeof GNSS systems and receivercharacteristics
- Experience with RF (includingAntennas) and Digital Hardware design andtest
- Experience in verification &validation, including environmental and EMCtesting
- Experience with SysML or UML in aSystems Engineering environment
- Experience withthe IBM Rational DOORS toolset
- Experience withEnterprise Architect or similar integrated modellingplatform
- Experience with Simulink for designanalysis and test of system and softwarearchitectures
- Experience with MATLAB for dataanalysis, algorithm development and modelcreation.
- Experience with configurationmanagement systems
