Electrical Systems Engineer

Permanent salary + package

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Systems Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and oversee electrical systems and components across various projects, ensuring they meet industry standards and operational requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient integration of electrical systems into larger engineering projects, from concept through to final testing and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design complex electrical systems and sub-systems in line with project specifications, ensuring compatibility and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and software developers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into broader projects.

  • Create, review, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.

  • Conduct and oversee system testing, troubleshooting, and validation, ensuring performance metrics are met, and identify areas for improvement.

  • Ensure all electrical systems meet local and international safety and environmental standards, including ISO, IEC, and other relevant standards.

  • Assess potential risks associated with electrical systems, implement fail-safes, and develop risk mitigation strategies.

  • Actively participate in the review and enhancement of current designs, methodologies, and processes to improve overall efficiency and safety.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in electrical systems design, ideally within [industry, e.g., aerospace, automotive, renewable energy].

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN), simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink), and electrical design software.

  • Solid understanding of electrical power distribution, control systems, and familiarity with high and low-voltage electrical systems.

  • Familiarity with industry standards, such as IEEE, NEC, IEC, or equivalent.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical team members.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and adapt in a dynamic environment.

    Preferred Skills:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.

  • Previous experience with [specify systems, such as renewable energy systems, automotive electrical systems, etc.].

  • Experience with additional tools or languages (e.g., Python, PLC programming) is a plus.
