Summary ofRole:
This is an excitingopportunity for a Senior Model Based Systems Engineer to workwithin the Raytheon Assured Position Navigation and Timing (APNT)Engineering team, part of the wider Systems & Productsbusiness unit, to produce Digital GPS Anti-Jam Systems andAlternative Navigation Solutions for the militarymarket.
The role will providesupport across Raytheon's range of APNT products, providing SystemsEngineering expertise across the product lifecycle, fromrequirements capture, analysis, design through to testing,qualification, and certification activities.
MainDuties:
The role will providesupport to the System Design Authority and Systems Engineering TeamLeaders with the development and management of projectrequirements, generation of technical documentation. SystemsAnalysis and Design work and participation in technical designreviews. Further, supporting the Systems Team in the generation ofbid proposal material and submission of bids in response tocustomer requests.
Primaryresponsibilities include initial system analysis, including scopedefinition, problem analysis, requirements gathering anddevelopment. Design and develop architecture and data modelsincluding data gathering using SysML artefacts e.g. use case,activity, sequence, state and class diagrams.
The role will involveworking in a highly technical environment, supporting the team aswell as working autonomously, laboratory work will be involved forproduct testing. Taking on complex challenges and producing asolution that follows company process in a timely manner is anessential part of the role. A successful candidate will becomfortable integrating into a large team to accomplish theirgoals.
CandidateRequirements:
Essential
- Experienceacross the systems engineering lifecycle from requirements throughto certification
- Experience with SysML or UMLin a Systems Engineering environment
- Experiencewith generation of technical documentation (internal and forcustomers)
- Understanding of policies, practisesand procedures, and the ability to communicate these to theirteam
- Ability to work in a team and perform toproject directives
- Ability to workautonomously, with limited oversight from Team Leaders andManagement
- Degree in STEM (Science, Technology,Electrical Engineering, Mathematics) orsimilar
- Eligible or current holder of SCsecurity clearance
Desirable
- Knowledgeof GNSS systems and receivercharacteristics
- Experience with RF (includingAntennas) and Digital Hardware design andtest
- Experience in verification &validation, including environmental and EMCtesting
- Experience with Enterprise Architect orsimilar integrated modellingplatform.
- Experience with Simulink for designanalysis and test of system and softwarearchitectures.
- Experience with MATLAB for dataanalysis, algorithm development and modelcreation.
- Experience with IBM Rational DOORStoolset
- Experience with configurationmanagement systems
