Mecahnical Fitter

Location: Stansted

Are you a hands-on, detail-focused individual with experience in safety equipment or a mechanical workshop setting? We're looking for an Inflatables Fitter to join a dedicated team maintaining and repairing critical safety systems.

Role Overview:
As an Inflatables Fitter, you will be responsible for disassembling, testing, fault-finding, and repairing a variety of inflatable safety equipment and components. You'll also reassemble and pack these items according to detailed technical manuals and OEM instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

Disassemble, test, and repair safety equipment including slides, rafts, and sub-components.
Reassemble and pack equipment in line with component maintenance manuals (CMMs), overhaul manuals (OHMs), and OEM specifications.
Ensure all work meets strict quality and safety standards.Skills and Experience:

Experience in a workshop or engineering environment is highly desirable.
Previous experience with safety equipment repair and packing, particularly within the aerospace sector, is a strong advantage.
Ability to interpret and follow technical documentation and compliance manuals in detail.Qualifications:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
OEM training in safety equipment maintenance is highly desirable.What We're Looking For:
