What this role has to offer:

Step into a pivotal advisory role where you'll influence our business by overseeing all aspects of trade compliance to meet regulatory requirements in the UK, US, Germany, and beyond. Empowered with authority, you'll engage with senior and global stakeholders, both internally and externally, fostering relationships with regulators, HMRC, and MOD. This transformative journey offers opportunities for career growth, whether as a specialist, leader, or across various disciplines.

Our Opportunity:

Be part of our dynamic team as we expand. This role suits an experienced export control professional, ideally with a background in defence, military, or highly regulated industries. Your main focus will be promoting and implementing import/export compliance within the UK and internationally, aligning with laws, regulations, and Thales Group policies.

Key responsibilities:

As a trusted advisor, you'll guide key stakeholders on trade compliance requirements, including:

- Reviewing and approving trade compliance documentation

- Applying for export approvals and licenses

- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders

- Managing customs authorizations and audits

Thales offers a hybrid-working model with opportunities for remote work and occasional UK travel.

About You:

- Strong knowledge of UK and US export regulations (ITAR and EAR) and UK customs regulations

- Positive attitude and commercial awareness

- Excellent time management and attention to detail
