Rapid Recruit are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer on behalf of our client in Skelmersdale. Our client is expanding their reach into the aerospace, nuclear & defence industries and due to growth plans, are looking to expand their sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Frequently travel with occasional overnight stays to visit and engage with various clients.

  • Conduct business development meetings to promote products.

  • Independently manage scheduling and appointments, including coordinating client visits on site.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.

  • Provide technical expertise and support to clients throughout the sales process.

  • Identify client needs and propose tailored solutions to meet their requirements.

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to provide innovative solutions.

    Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • 7 years of proven experience in technical sales, preferably in manufacturing or engineering.

  • Strong technical skills with a background in machining.

  • Experience in aerospace, defence, nuclear, or similar industries.

    Desirable experience:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.

  • Confidence in client interactions and problem-solving.
