RSK Geosciences are recruiting for aSenior Geophysicistto join the team based inSouthampton. This is afull-time, permanentposition.

This is a great opportunity to join the well-established Geophysics team with a reputation for delivering high quality surveys for near surface environmental and industrial applications across the UK and abroad.

We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic candidate to be part of our thriving Geoscience business and develop their career within the successful RSK Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Survey design and proposal preparation
  • Taking a lead role in undertaking site work using a variety of geophysical techniques
  • Manage others in data processing, interpretation and report production tasks
  • Mentor and line manage junior members of the team
  • Deliver training to help development and growth of the team

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Near Surface Geophysicist (5 to 7 years’ experience)
  • Competent in use of near surface GPR, ERT, Seismic Refraction, MASW, Microgravity, Magnetics and Electromagnetic instrumentation.
  • Experienced in processing data for the above techniques.
  • Competent user of High Precision GPS, Total Stations.
  • Competent user of 2D AutoCAD
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong IT skills including Excel, CAD and some programming would be an advantage
  • Must hold a UK driving license
  • Must be prepared to travel and stay away from home when required
