Job Title: Quality Engineer - Aircraft Interiors - PERMENANT OPPORTUNITY

We are a specialist Aircraft Interiors company based at Biggin Hill Airport, delivering bespoke design, certification, manufacturing, and installation solutions for commercial and VVIP aircraft. As part of our continued growth, we're looking for a Quality Engineer who is passionate about aviation and eager to help us maintain the highest standards of compliance, safety, and workmanship.

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well-established CAA/EASA Part 145 and Part 21 Subpart G organisation. As a Quality Engineer, you'll be a key player in upholding and improving our Quality Management System and ensuring regulatory compliance across all our projects. Based at Biggin Hill, you'll help drive forward our commitment to safety, precision, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure conformity and release of products on CAA/EASA Form 1

Maintain and update the MOE, POE, and QMS systems

Lead internal audit programs and host external quality inspections

Support and improve our Safety and Quality Systems

Liaise with regulatory bodies such as the CAA and EASA

Conduct compliance investigations and technical reporting

Monitor and audit suppliers to ensure standards are met

Lead root cause investigations (8D methodology) for non-conformities

Support risk assessments, health and safety protocols, and quality planning

Oversee calibration, tooling control, and performance indicators (KPIs/SPIs)

Act as the main quality and H&S point of contact onsite

What We're Looking For:
Qualifications & Knowledge:

Minimum 3 years of experience in quality roles within aircraft interiors or similar sectors

CQI Certificate or Diploma in Quality Assurance

Degree in Aerospace Engineering preferred

Lead Auditor qualification (e.g., EN/AS9100) highly desirable

Strong understanding of EASA/CAA Part 145 & Part 21 Subpart G regulations

Experience:

Background in aircraft component repair or manufacturing

Proven experience managing quality and compliance in maintenance or production environments

Familiarity with regulatory authority negotiations and compliance reporting

Skills & Attributes:

Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

Clear, confident communicator - written and verbal

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Resilient, flexible, and able to perform under pressure

Organised and self-motivated with a proactive mindset
