Are you a detail-oriented Quality Engineer looking for a new, exciting, opportunity?

Butler Ross are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer on behalf of an organisation involved in the defence sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in playing a key role in ensuring high-quality product and project performance, compliance, and driving continuous improvement.

This opportunity is offering a salary from £45,000 - £50,000 (with potential to exceed depending on experience) and will be situated at their site in Fareham.

Your responsibilities will include:

Review Quality Plans, FUDs, Inspection & Test Plans, and QA/NDT documentation

Interpret codes, standards, and specifications to ensure compliance

Collaborate with QA Manager and Project Leads on documentation and QA deliverables

Ensure Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) conformity

Conduct weld fit-up inspections and visual inspections

Validate welder qualifications and ensure prolongation is maintained

Perform cleanliness inspections and ensure material traceability

Manage calibration control of inspection tools and equipment

Ideal Experience

Sector experience within any of the following environments would be beneficial; Defence, Nuclear, Automotive, Marine or Aerospace

Project Quality and Quality Control experience

Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100

Proficiency in PPAP, MSA, GR&R, and process mapping

Supplier development and document control experience

Contract & Specification review skills (RFQ, Drawing Specs)

Due to the nature of the organisation, position, and projects - you MUST be a UK national for security clearance requirements. Unfortunately individuals who can not be security cleared, will be unable to be considered.
