GE Aerospace is hiring a Quality Engineer to join the expanding team at its Eastleigh facility near Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to world-class aerospace manufacturing and quality systems in a high-impact engineering role.

As a Quality Engineer, you’ll support operational excellence across multiple functions on-site, leading audits, managing non-conformances, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement aligned with AS9100/ISO9001 standards. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and help maintain the site’s Quality Management System while contributing to customer satisfaction and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct process and product audits to AS9100 / ISO9001 standards
  • Identify, manage, and resolve non-conformances using GE Aerospace tools and processes
  • Support QMS development and regulatory compliance efforts
  • Perform manual and automated inspections and testing
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions through root cause analysis
  • Review and approve engineering and production quality plans
  • Provide QA support across departments including engineering, production, and supply chain
  • Prepare for external audits and assist in closing audit findings
  • Train staff on QA tools, systems, and industry best practices
  • Assist in site-wide quality strategy, process improvements, and reporting
  • Promote a quality-first culture and ensure products meet all internal and customer standards

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HNC/HND in Aerospace, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline
  • Experience as a Quality Engineer in AS9100, ISO9001, or IATF16949 environment
  • Internal auditing experience (or willingness to train)
  • Strong knowledge of QA tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving, reporting, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in technical teams
  • IPC-A-610, DQR/DPRV, or willingness to complete certification post-employment
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)

  • Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing or high-precision engineering
