We are supporting a well-established and growing aerospace engineering organisation in their search for a skilled Quality Systems Engineer. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement of the company’s Business Management System (BMS) in alignment with AS9100, NADCAP, and customer-specific requirements.

Quality Systems Engineer 
Job Description 
•    Maintain and develop the company’s Quality and Business Management Systems, ensuring compliance with AS9100, customer quality requirements, and industry best practices.
•    Lead and coordinate internal audit programs, ensuring timely execution, closure of findings, and implementation of effective corrective actions.
•    Support and prepare for external audits, including AS9100 and NADCAP special process audits (NDT, Chemical Processing, Heat Treatment, Forging).
•    Analyse audit and quality data to identify systemic trends and drive process-level improvements.
•    Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Compliance teams to ensure all quality systems and documentation support efficient, compliant production.
•    Support the control, review, and communication of customer and regulatory specifications.
•    Drive risk-based thinking and preventive action within the management system and across the wider business.
•    Participate in document control, ensuring procedures, work instructions, and quality records are kept up-to-date and in full compliance.
•    Assist in the development of operator approval processes, training frameworks, and quality awareness across the business.

Quality Systems Engineer 
Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience 
•    Solid experience in Quality Systems Engineering, ideally within aerospace, defence, or high-precision manufacturing
•    Deep understanding of AS9100 Rev D and associated aerospace quality standards
•    Familiarity with NADCAP special processes and audit preparation
•    Strong background in internal auditing, non-conformance management, and root cause analysis
•    Ability to review, interpret, and flow down customer and regulatory specifications
•    Excellent communication and documentation skills
•    Proficient in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. PDCA, 8D, FMEA)
•    Comfortable working cross-functionally with Engineering, Procurement, and Operational teams
