Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Leicester
Salary: £45-50k per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Days

EMBS Engineering is seeking a skilled and motivated Quality Engineer to join a well-established and innovative precision engineering company located in Leicester.     Key Responsibilities:

    As a Quality Engineer, you will develop products and support business growth. You will support Continuous Improvement activities of legacy production to improve quality performance. You will streamline quality within production and ready the business for new product implementations.
    As a Quality Engineer, you will take the lead on handling concessions to ensure product conformity, NCRs and supplier performance.

    About You:

    As a Quality Engineer, you will be a meticulous, analytical, and pragmatic problem-solver with a strong technical background and excellent interpersonal skills. You will enjoy handling product quality issues and be someone who thrives on ensuring product integrity and preventing issues, rather than just reacting to them.

    Essential Requirements:

  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK.

  • Willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

    To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the above essential requirements. Please note that due to the security clearance requirements, we are unable to sponsor visas for this position.

    Skills Required:

  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment

  • Experience of working in a Quality Engineering role within the precision engineering markets - Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear or Motorsport/Automotive

  • Thorough knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)

  • Experience of preparing a range of quality documentation including but not limited to Concessions, Deviation Requests, FAIRs etc

  • Worked to AS9100 or IATF 16949 and ISO9001 standards

  • Working knowledge of PFMEA and it's effective use within a manufacturing environment

  • Problem identification and resolution through the use of standard methodologies such as 5Y, 8Ds etc
