Job Role for the Manufacturing Engineer:

Antennas and Avionics manufacturing support engineer to work with Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations to meet OTD targets and improve productivity.

Provide real-time technical support to resolve production issues, including equipment failures, quality concerns and process inefficiencies.

Identify and implement opportunities for process optimisation. cost reduction and continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

Provide support for RF testing, validation, and performance verification of antenna designs and components to ensure alignment with specifications.

Coordinate with test department and production teams to resolve any testing discrepancies or failure modes.

Support Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities for new and existing products.

Manage manufacturing activities during the transition from development to production.

Develop and maintain comprehensive production documentation, including job routings and work instructions.

Process simulation of manufacturing process and optimisation of manufacturing process.

Monitor and analyse production data to track performance, identify trends, and suggest improvements.

The successful Manufacturing Engineer will have the below skills and experience:

Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing, production, engineering or technical role, with antennas, RF and electronics or similar experience

Electronic testing simulation software. (Electronic manufacturing and test simulation with PLM software.)

Experience managing engineering projects and delivering productivity improvement initiatives

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and quality systems.

BSc (hons) or MSc in Electronics Engineering, experience with electronics and RF components

Experience with New Product Introduction

Charted Engineer or working towards 

Hands on experience with RF systems, analogue and digital circuits, antennas and electronics manufacturing processes

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and six sigma methodologies
