CAD CAM Programmer, £45K - £55K, Wolverhampton, West Midlands

  • £45,000 to £55,000 salary guide (depending on experience) + company pension + 25 days holiday

  • Dayshift: 08:00am – 17:00pm Monday to Thursday, 08:00am – 13:00pm Friday

  • Precision engineering company supplying high-quality components to aerospace, motorsports and other highly regulated sectors.

    Are you an experienced CAD CAM Programmer with strong Heidenhain programming skills? Do you have a background in 3-axis to 5-axis milling and offline programming?

    Your background as a CAD CAM Programmer:

  • Strong experience with offline programming of CNC machines, ideally 3-axis through to 5-axis milling

  • Ideally you will hold a relevant qualification

  • Proficiency in Heidenhain controls is essential.

  • Familiarity with VISI CAM software is highly desirable.

  • Solid understanding of precision machining, tooling, and fixture design

  • Knowledge of both CNC turning and milling operations, ideally with some Fanuc experience as well

  • Experience with 3D CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks and VISI

  • Exposure to AS9100D quality standards and lean manufacturing principles

    Offline CAD CAM Programmer responsibilities:

  • Programming 3-axis to 5-axis CNC milling machines in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

  • Supporting NPI projects and legacy program optimisation.

  • Collaborating closely with machinists and production teams to ensure Right First Time and On Time in Full delivery.

  • Design versatile fixture solutions and implement new tooling strategies

  • Complete all relevant paperwork clearly and accurately

  • Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
