Aircraft Structures Technician / Sheet Metal Worker Location: Birmingham, UK
Competitive Salary
Project: Boeing 737NG - Wedgetail Military Modification
Shifts: Monday to Thursday (10-hour day shifts)
Contract Type: Permanent or Contract

Join a specialist aerospace engineering team working on a high-profile military Wedgetail modification program for the Boeing 737NG platform. We're looking for experienced and skilled Aircraft Structures Technicians / Sheet Metal Workers to carry out complex modifications and structural tasks to the highest industry standards.

Your Role:
As a Structures Technician, you'll be responsible for structural maintenance, repair, and modification activities on B737NG aircraft. You'll work under the guidance of the Lead Technician or B1 Engineer, taking ownership of task quality, safety, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Perform structural modifications and repairs using approved drawings and data
Strip and remove structural components and assemblies
Install complex structural assemblies and work to tight tolerances
Read and interpret technical drawings and aircraft manuals
Use fasteners, bonding techniques, and sealants in line with industry standards
Maintain clean, safe workspaces and adhere to strict tool control procedures
Report unsafe conditions or work hazards through proper channels

What You'll Bring
Completed engineering apprenticeship (aerospace or military equivalent preferred)
Minimum 5 years' live aircraft sheet metal or structural experience
Experience with aircraft production or modification projects (advantageous)
Excellent manual dexterity and eye for detail
Good knowledge of aircraft airframes and structural components
Strong teamwork, reliability, and communication skills

Eligibility to live and work in the UK

Must be able to obtain UK Security Vetting (BPSS clearance required)
