Are you a Quality Technician seeking a new opportunity to grow your career? ASL Technical are now working with a leading performance vehicle manufacturer as they look to expand their Quality Technician team.

Main Purpose of the Quality Technician Role

We are supporting the expansion of the quality organisation within a high-performance vehicle manufacturing environment. The Quality Technician role is integral to the design, development, and manufacturing of cutting-edge performance cars. In this role, you will collaborate with designers, engineers, suppliers, and production teams, playing a key part in delivering successful vehicle programmes. Applicants with experience in high performance engineering, aerospace, or advanced technology sectors are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities of the Quality Technician

Conduct part verification activities at Goods Inwards and in Stores

Carry out initial investigation on build concerns/issues (4M)

Support Quality Engineers and other engineering functions in root cause analysis

Assist Supplier Quality Engineers in investigating supplier concerns

Support audit activities during production build and final audit stages

Experience / Knowledge for the Quality Technician Role

Competent in the use of handheld measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers); experience with advanced measurement tools is advantageous

Strong understanding of engineering drawings, with knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) desirable

Familiarity with high-performance engineering and ideally automotive industry experience

Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting at all levels and producing high-quality reports

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Experience with production stage and final product/EOL audits; knowledge of products with complex surfaces and materials is beneficial

CAD capability (preferably Catia V5); ability to interpret engineering drawings is essential

Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills would be an advantage
