We are currently looking for a Senior Planner to join our team in Scotland.  As a Senior Planner, your primary responsibility will be to develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules. Your expertise will ensure that all phases of the project are meticulously planned and executed, adhering to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Work with the site team and main contractor to ensure the projects have fully integrated programmes sequenced in the correct manner to allow the successful completion of the project.

Understand specifications, drawings and relevant contract documents / correspondence in conjunction with engineers and surveyors to ensure adequacy of the planning and programming of projects.

Carry out regular reporting on projects to allow the site team to understand the programme position in relation to progress

Liaise with the project team to ensure progress reports, progress percentages and drop-down programmes are produced.

Skills and Experience

Proven experience in managing complex engineering projects and stakeholder relationships.

Ideally from an engineering background – with the ability to understand the practical challenges of working on site

Ability to develop and recommend alternative approached to improve programme scheduling.

Strong organisational and scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Planning and project management skills.

Specific Qualifications

Relevant experience in the construction industry

Recognised Construction or technical discipline qualifications

Proven experience as a planner in the construction industry

Effective communication skills for liaising with project teams and subcontractors.

Strong risk management and problem-solving skills.

Full UK Driving License
