Base pay range

Join our client’s mission to create the lowest orbiting satellites on Earth to rapidly advance global connectivity and insight. They are in their critical growth phase so the role will not come without its challenges, however the reward and exciting work is something to get excited by! The Senior Mechanical Engineer's key purpose will be to lead the design and development of the propulsion system and satellites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of next-generation structures and mechanisms.
  • Rapidly design, test, and prototype (R&D) satellite subsystems.
  • Perform hand calculations and FEA to develop, assess, and optimize designs.
  • Conduct trade studies to optimize cost, schedule, safety, and performance.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis.
  • Exceptional skills in CAD modeling and drawing preparation.
  • Solid understanding of structural analysis and failure modes of complex mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in FEM software (e.g., ANSYS) is essential.
  • Experience in rapid design, testing, and prototyping (R&D) in your field.
  • Strong understanding and application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
