Join a dynamic and innovative manufacturing company dedicated to producing high-quality components for industries such as aerospace and medical. As an Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all parts meet stringent customer specifications through meticulous quality control processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform First Off inspections for all components to verify compliance with design specifications.
  • Conduct stage inspections of machined components to ensure adherence to tolerances and standards.
  • Utilize a range of precision measuring equipment (e.g., CMM, micrometers, Vernier gauges, shadowgraphs) to assess sizes, cylindricity, concentricity, and other specifications.
  • Carry out routine inspections on production parts and record results accurately.
  • Conduct random patrol inspections to maintain consistent quality across production batches.
  • Interpret inspection results and communicate findings effectively to the Production team.
  • Work closely with Production to ensure batch quantities are met while maintaining quality standards.
  • Assist in investigations related to Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective Action Reports (CARs), and customer complaints.
  • Ensure all inspection equipment is maintained to a high standard and calibrated as per schedule.
  • Make confident decisions to sign off parts, ensuring timely inspections aligned with manufacturing processes.
  • Adhere to relevant health and safety standards during all inspection activities.
  • Undertake any additional reasonable duties to support the team and production goals.
    The Person/Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including geometric tolerances (GDT) and surface finishes.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring equipment, such as CMM, micrometers, Vernier gauges, height gauges, and shadowgraphs.
  • Familiarity with Mitutoyo CMM measuring systems and PC-DMIS/CAD++ software (desirable).
  • Experience operating medium/large CMM machines (desirable).
  • Knowledge of working within highly regulated industries, such as aerospace or medical (desirable).
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in detecting discrepancies.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient approach to work.
