This is a diverse and busy role within the business and one which will see you work and communicate with the entirety of the Safran workforce, giving you sound product knowledge and developing a multitude of relationships.
As an OEM that designs and manufactures from cradle to grave, this is a unique opportunity to enrich your knowledge and propel your career as a Quality Engineer.

You'll have opportunities to learn and progress including becoming a qualified auditor (if you aren't already), and with investment being made on site it's an exciting time to join our growing local team.

Looking after the people who make Safran great is a priority for us. We offer a range of benefits designed to support you, both in and outside of work.

Who are Safran Landing Systems?

We are a global leader in aircraft landing and braking systems, from commercial and business travel to military and defence fleets. Our expertise cover the entire life cycle of our products from end-to-end: design, manufacturing, maintenance and repair.

We're at the forefront of aerospace technology, creating safer, more sustainable aviation for the next generation of aerospace. It's easy to take flying for granted, or forget the incredible amount of technical skills, capability and co-ordination required to create an aircraft. At Safran, we never take it for granted. Our people's talents and skills come together to make the feat of flying possible. Here, you can create an impact you're proud of, where you're rewarded for your dedication and willingness to learn.

What will I be doing?

*Day to day you will support the running of the QMS by completing work station audits, managing compliance on the shop floor, assisting with general queries as well as completing large scale root cause analysis investigations, with opportunities to be customer facing
*You will work proactively to manage non-conformances and complete non-conformance data analysis, helping to identify key areas for quality improvement within manufacturing
*Working cross-functionally, you will play a critical role in producing key metrics and KPIs to help the business measure production quality and performance

What do I need to succeed in the role?

*We are looking for a proactive quality engineer who is happy to get involved in a variety of tasks to support the wider QMS. Crucially, you will be proficient in RCCA methodologies and ideally be comfortable with data analysis
*This role would suit somebody who thrives in an environment where no two days are the same, and who is comfortable communicating with different teams across all levels, from shop floor staff to directors
*Ideally you will have worked within a similar manufacturing or regulatory environment (aerospace, automotive, oil & gas), but we would still love to hear from you if you have a solid foundation of Quality Engineering principles
*It would be great if you have audit experience, even better if you are qualified, but if you do not then please still apply as training opportunities will be given

At Safran, we understand that diversity and inclusion make teams stronger and more effective, and as an organisation, we are committed to fair and equitable employment practices for everyone.

We also know that some candidates may be put off applying for jobs where they don't meet 100% of the criteria outlined in the advert, however, we encourage you to apply if you can demonstrate a variety of skills and experiences relevant to the requirements of this role.

We will consider all applicants who meet the minimum requirements regardless of their age, identity or background.

If you would like to discuss any reasonable adjustments to the application or hiring process that may better facilitate your participation please get in touch for an informal chat. We will make every effort to respond to your request for assistance as soon as possible.

Please apply by uploading a CV, and if your experience matches what we're looking for, one of our recruitment team will give you a call.

Offers of employment will be subject to a relevant level of company security vetting, which may include a criminal record check
