Production Leader - Aerospace Manufacturing

Poole, Dorset | Full-Time, Permanent | Competitive Salary + Benefits

Are you ready to lead a high-performance production team in a world-class aerospace environment?
Join a leading global precision engineering company supplying critical components to the aerospace and defence sectors.

We are looking for a hands-on and driven Production Cell Leader to take ownership of a manufacturing cell, driving excellence in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people performance (SQCDP). This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key leadership role in a growing business with an outstanding industry reputation.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading a team of skilled engineers and operators to meet daily production targets

Driving a Zero Defects culture through strong quality control and root cause resolution

Managing team performance and efficiency through KPI tracking and continuous improvement

Ensuring full compliance with 6S, AS9100, and health & safety standards

Coordinating cross-functional efforts with engineering, planning, and quality departments

Training, developing, and supporting team members to achieve their full potential

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in manufacturing supervision or cell leadership

Strong understanding of precision engineering or aerospace production environments

Working knowledge of 6S, lean manufacturing, and quality systems (AS9100)

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

A proactive and self-motivated mindset with the ability to lead by example

Preferred Qualifications

Time-served engineering apprenticeship (Essential)

Supervisory/management training or qualification (Essential)

HNC/HND or degree in a relevant discipline (Desirable)

Lean/Green Belt qualification (Desirable)
