Therefore, JLR will only accept applications for this programme from candidates who would have the right to work in the UK at the point that they would successfully convert to the graduate programme.

ACHIEVE THE EXCEPTIONAL

Your placement year at university could not have come at a more exciting time. The undergraduate placement at JLR launches you into the heart of automotive innovation. Apply your learning, satisfy your curiosity and prepare for a long, successful career alongside industry experts. Arrive curious. Discover opportunity.

Your future starts here.

PRODUCT ENGINEERING: FUTURE PROPULSION SYSTEMS UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME

Fossil fuels have dominated automotive propulsion since the introduction of cars, but our priorities are evolving as we move toward the future. Before the end of the decade Range Rover, Discovery and Defender brands will offer pure‑electric options, while Jaguar will be entirely electric - and you have the opportunity to be part of this journey.

As a Future Propulsion Systems undergraduate, you’ll learn what it takes to deliver the high-quality propulsion systems of the future. You’ll work in diverse environments, utilising engineering tools such as Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), Computer Aided Design (CAD), and data analysis techniques, while collaborating closely with various customer groups.

You’ll gain a systems view of the entire delivery landscape for commodities and systems. Collaborating with our programme management, purchasing, and manufacturing teams, as well as external engineering service providers, you’ll contribute to creating and delivering final products that meet quality, cost, and time targets. We value new ideas and fresh perspectives - we encourage you to challenge our thinking and influence what we do.

During the year-long programme, you’ll rotate through a number of placements to help you develop your technical knowledge. You’ll collaborate closely with your managers to identify the right placements suitable for your learning and growth.

Explore the different teams you could be a part of below. The team you’re placed in will depend on your personal preferences and business needs.
