We are looking for engineerswith a passion for simulation and analysis to join our team ofNuclear Core and Systems Performance Engineers. In this role youwill perform analysis of the Naval Reactor Plant and in doing sodevelop a broad understanding of core thermal hydraulics, reactorplant operation and protection systems. This is an outstandingopportunity to work at the forefront of reactor performanceanalysis, supporting the in-service fleet as well as developingfuture reactor core and systems designs. Due to the sensitivenature of our work, this role will be based permanently at ouroffices in Derby. There is an opportunity for occasional businesstravel to our waterfront locations in Plymouth, Faslane andBarrow-In-Furness. Why Rolls-Royce? What youwill be doing: You will carry out fluid flow and heat transferanalysis to support robust design evaluation of the Naval ReactorPlant, including: Using a combination of commercial and in-housedeveloped codes and methods to assess primary systems and theircomponents, determining the consequences of a variety of normaloperation and accident scenarios. Performing development,verification and validation of models used in the analysis of thenuclear plant. To be successful in this role, you will also need to: Bequalified to degree level or equivalent in a STEM-related subjecte.g. Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics orsimilar.
