As part ofthe Engineering Producibility Team, a Manufacturing Engineer isexpected to influence new designs using New Product Introductiontools to ensure manufacturability and continually improve uponexisting product designs, then translating these into world classprocesses which meet business and customer requirements for Safety,Quality, Cost & Delivery. Within this exciting opportunityyou will get a chance to have an input into the development ofmanufacturing processes and/or methods of manufacture and thecontinuous improvement of these areas. What you will be doing: Theproduct and materials are somewhat novel when compared to othervessel fabrications, pumps, valves and assemblies for a Pressurisedcircuit. The optimal candidate would: - You will executeManufacturing Product Introduction activities, including the designof the overall Method of Manufacture and of individual processsteps using the Product Quality Planning toolset - Fundamentalknowledge of DFMEA / PFMEA to influence Product definition / finalform manufacture - You will create and validate ProductionTechnical Instructions which are capable of delivering designintent and meeting customer and business requirements for safety,quality, cost, delivery rate & leadtime (SQCD). - You will beaccountable for being the manufacturing technical authority for theproduct and the management of First offs, new part numbers,significant method resequencing and introduction of new tooling -You will act as the primary Manufacturing Engineeringrepresentative within a cross-functional team for their ownedpart(s) Who we're looking for: At Rolls-Royce we embrace agility,are bold, pursue collaboration and seek simplicity in everything wedo.
