We are looking for enthusiasticgraduates with a passion for simulation and analysis to join ourteam. You will be provided with all the training required todevelop into a Nuclear Core and Systems Performance Engineer. Inthis role you will perform analysis of the Naval Reactor Plant andin doing so develop a broad understanding of core thermalhydraulics, reactor plant operation and protection systems. This isan outstanding opportunity to work at the forefront of reactorperformance analysis, supporting the in-service fleet as well asdeveloping future reactor core and systems designs. Due to thesensitive nature of our work, this role will be based permanentlyat our offices in Derby. What youwill be doing: You will carry out fluid flow and heat transferanalysis to support robust design evaluation of the Naval ReactorPlant, inluding: - Using a combination of commercial and in-housedeveloped codes and methods to assess primary systems and theircomponents, determining the consequences of a variety of normaloperation and accident scenarios. - Performing development,verification and validation of models used in the analysis of thenuclear plant.
