We are seeking an experienced OEM Software Sales Representative with a proven track record of driving revenue and building long-term customer relationships in the software development tools and embedded systems domain. This role focuses on providing innovative solutions to organizations developing embedded, IoT, and safety-critical applications. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, excels in consultative sales, and has a strong technical understanding of software development processes and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients in key industries, including automotive, aerospace, medical devices, and telecommunications.
  • Identify customer pain points and align solutions to address their unique needs through a consultative sales approach.
  • Work closely with technical teams to conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical workshops.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales development teams to generate and follow up on leads.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to close deals effectively.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends, industry challenges, and competitive landscape.
  • Consistently update CRM with sales activity and progress to ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales or business development in the embedded software or software development tools domain.
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycles, quality assurance processes, and testing methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Ability to translate technical solutions into compelling business value propositions.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience selling to industries that develop safety-critical systems, such as aerospace, automotive, or medical devices.
  • Familiarity with software testing, static analysis, or compliance tools.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 26262, DO-178C, or IEC 62304.
  • Ability to speak a second language is a plus.
