About the role

We are seeking a highly proactive and results-driven Marketing Executive to join our Defence Marketing team in our RFD Beaufort Division. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated professional with a strategic mindset, who can work independently and take ownership of marketing initiatives that drive business growth, market penetration, and brand visibility.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Executive will play a pivotal role in planning and executing high-impact events, managing digital and social media channels, and developing marketing campaigns that support our Defence business objectives. You will need to be an independent thinker with strong commercial awareness, able to see the bigger picture and ensure all marketing efforts contribute to long-term strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

·Event Management & Brand Activation

·Independently plan, coordinate, and manage a programme of strategic events, including trade shows, exhibitions, product launches, and industry conferences.

·Ensure events are aligned with growth targets, market expansion goals, and customer engagement strategies.

·Take ownership of end-to-end event execution, working to support concept development and colleagues within the business development and account management teams to achieve stakeholder coordination, pre and post-event communications and achieve maximum value.

·Measure and report on event ROI, tracking engagement, lead generation, and brand impact.

·Work closely with the account management and business development teams to ensure events drive commercial success and enhance customer relationships.

Social Media & Digital Marketing

·Coordinate the creation of content by working with subject matter experts, ensuring technical and industry insights are effectively translated into engaging marketing materials.

·Refine and enhance content with strong copywriting skills, ensuring messaging is clear, compelling, and aligned with the brand’s voice.

·Execute and manage the Defence social media strategy, ensuring a consistent and professional brand presence across LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.

·Monitor and analyse performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations to continuously optimise digital campaigns.

·Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to produce high-quality visuals, videos, and campaign materials that support business objectives.

Lead Generation & Sales Enablement

·Ensure marketing activity directly supports lead generation and sales enablement, providing the sales team with the tools and materials they need to convert opportunities.

·Coordinate and execute targeted digital and offline campaigns designed to generate and nurture leads, ensuring a steady pipeline of opportunities.

·Manage and optimise website content, ensuring key product and service information is up to date, relevant, and structured to improve engagement and conversion rates.

·Work with subject matter experts to develop high-quality content that supports the buyer journey, refining messaging and ensuring consistency across sales and marketing materials.

·Manage and optimise social media, email marketing, and digital advertising efforts to increase inbound leads and support account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives.

·Develop and maintain sales collateral, presentations, and case studies, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and effectively communicate value propositions.

·Support distributor and partner marketing efforts, ensuring they have easy access to impactful marketing tools that drive sales across all Beaufort group brands.

·Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance, using data-driven insights to continuously improve effectiveness.

Experience & Qualifications

·Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

·Minimum 5 years’ experience in a B2B marketing role, preferably in Defence or related industry.

·Demonstrable experience in event management, digital marketing, lead generation, and campaign execution.

·Strong understanding of B2B marketing strategies, including content marketing, CRM, and digital engagement.

·Experience working with external agencies, design teams, and business development teams.

·Proficiency in marketing tools including SalesForce, Shopify, WordPress, Google analytics, social media management platforms
