An innovative aerospace business is seeking a Lead Engineer to take full ownership of the technical delivery of a new premium product line.  What You’ll Be Doing as a Lead Engineer:

Take full ownership of the product’s architecture and detailed mechanical design
Gain an in-depth understanding of the entire product and its sub-systems
Balance robust engineering with a keen eye for industrial design and user experience
Collaborate across product and engineering teams to bring technically challenging concepts to life
Play a key role in shaping the product’s future during a pivotal growth phase
Drive the product from concept through to delivery, ensuring high quality, safety, and reliability standards are met  Why Now?

What We're Looking for in a Lead Engineer:

A technically strong product-focused mechanical engineer, ideally with experience in automotive, aerospace or consumer product design
Someone who thrives on balancing form, function, and user interaction
An accomplished individual contributor who’s ready to lead, even without direct people management responsibilities
A confident communicator who excels in collaborative, fast-paced environments

 Your Impact:

Within 6 months:

You’ll be fully across the current product design landscape
You’ll have built strong relationships across engineering and product teams
You’ll be confidently working within the company’s systems and cultureWithin 12 months:

You’ll be delivering or enabling the delivery of high-quality, production-ready design
You’ll be a go-to expert on the product, with a strong technical voice in the business

This is a strategically important role within a growing business, with a high degree of autonomy and the chance to shape both the product and the way it’s developed.
