Here within the @one Alliance, we are a collaborative organisation made up of our eight partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska, and SWECO) and our extended supply chain. Together, we deliver over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme. 

We are gearing up for our most exciting and challenging Asset Management Period yet, known as AMP8, this will see us deliver a programme of work larger than we’ve ever offered before. We’ll embark on a new kind of project delivery focusing on nature-based solutions like wetlands and sustainable urban drainage schemes.

To help us achieve our ambitious targets and deliver projects on time within budget we’re looking for an Industrial Electrician to join the team.

What you will be doing as our Industrial electrician?

You will be part of our growing M&E team within the water industry within the @One Alliance, this is a great opportunity to be part of a newborn team and help influence and guide the team as it grows.

This role requires electrical equipment to be installed to predominantly Anglian Water clean water and wastewater sites, ensuring health and safety are always adhered to and that issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

Install electrical equipment for water treatment works (Anglian water) to Barhale standards.
Work with and have input into risk assessments and method statements to ensure health and safety are always strictly adhered to.
Competent to work directly from drawings and scopes of work to a high standard.
Experienced in industrial installations including but not limited to steel containment, power, and ICA wiring, telemetry & fault finding.
Keen to fulfil customer’s targets, involving overtime when required.
Able to mentor improvers and apprentices.
To assist with commissioning and testing installations.
Ensure that you are following all company and client rules.
Actively engage with management in the planning, organizing and delivering work.
Assist site teams with the requisitioning of materials and equipment promptly.
Assist team leaders with day-to-day operations on site.
Identify site issues and report to team leaders to ensure resolution.
Deliver projects to water industry standards within the Framework, on time and to budget.
Willing to work away from home for short periods (Project & training dependent)Key measures & targets:

As a Team and Individual we are measured on our health & safety record, quality of installation and delivery on time.
Planning and organising the correct materials and equipment to complete the work.
Tidy and Organised Vehicle and Gang Kit.
Your targets will be set during Personal Development Review meetings with your line manager.
There are opportunities to further your career within the team, to achieve positions such as Supervisor and LV Authorised Person, with training provided by the company.Key relationships:

Senior Authorizing Engineer Person Specification:

The successful candidate is likely to meet all the following criteria:

Enthusiastic and ambitious personality
Time served electrical apprenticeship.
Experience in electrical installations associated with the water industry.
CSCS ECS Gold Card
18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
C&G 2391 Qualified (or current equivalent)
Full UK driving licence
Good communication, both verbal and written
Able to work under your initiative, as well as within teams.
Enthusiastic and knowledgeable in electrical installations.
Be able to demonstrate a leadership approach to health, safety, quality, and environmental obligations, the complex would be nice to have but not essential, training can be provided for the Caring and investing in you
