A leading packaging manufacturer in the Scunthorpe area are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team on a Panama shift pattern

The ideal candidate will be a hard-working and adaptable Electrical Technician with a technical background within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and provide planned, preventative maintenance expertise along with responses to reactive breakdowns

Role: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £22.50 per hour
Shift: Panama (Days & Nights) (20:00 – 08:00)
 
The key responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Technician role will be:

Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of Electrical systems, assemblies, and components.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on equipment, including basic hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Conduct basic fault analysis and identify early signs of electrical failure.
PLC fault finding (input/output)
Read and interpret engineering drawings & schematics, technical documentation, and industry standards.
Participate in scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Support the implementation of WCM (World Class Manufacturing) practices and other operational systems.
Collaborate with other departments and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
Assist operators in routine machinery upkeep and minor maintenance tasks.
Support training efforts and cooperate with external personnel such as agency workers and contractors.
Consistently wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Adhere strictly to all Health & Safety procedures, regulations, and policies.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, BRC, and other relevant standards adopted by the company.
Appropriately dress in accordance with all applicable Health & Safety requirements.
Perform additional tasks of a similar nature, as reasonably assigned and in line with the roleThe key requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Technician will be:

Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within fast paced manufacturing environments such as Automotive, Food, FMCG and more
Strong knowledge of electrical systems such as Motors, VFD’s, Sensors etc.
Basic PLC fault finding
Ability to read schematic drawings
Willingness to work Panama shifts
NVQ Level 3 qualification or time-served apprenticeshipPlease apply online or contact (url removed) for a confidential conversation
