Our client is a multiple award-winning Automotive Manufacturer who is at the forefront of Electric Vehicle technology and dedicated to a sustainable future. It is a very exciting time to join this growing company who are looking for someone to be part of their exciting journey.  

As the HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of HVAC systems for both bus and light commercial vehicle applications. The successful candidate should have excellent technical capabilities, which can be applied in a dynamic and challenging engineering environment.

HVAC Engineer – Automotive role:

  • Research and develop heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for commercial vehicle application.
  • Contribute to the design, application and integration of HVAC systems into vehicle from concept to production release.
  • Support engineering tasks for new and existing product.
  • Support engineering calculations and simulations for design and validation of HVAC systems.
  • Partake in supplier liaison activities for engineering and manufacturing definition.
  • Contribute to the delivery of HVAC projects to meet programme targets of quality, function, cost, weight, and time.
  • Provide technical support for root cause analysis of development issues.
  • Create and present concise technical reports and presentations for informed decision making.
  • Participate in cross functional design reviews.

HVAC Engineer - Automotive Requirements:

  • Experience working as a HVAC Engineer ideally within the automotive industry, we will also consider wider transportation industries such as rail or aerospace.
  • Degree level education (or equivalent) in an engineering field, such as Automotive or Mechanical Engineering,
  • CAD experience in 3D and drawing creation and modification,
  • Able to generate and present technical material in a professional and concise manner,
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office products, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Excellent communication skills to interact with all engineering functions.
