In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.

The Head of Quality Transformation is responsible for the roadmap development, implementation and leadership of the quality improvement and transformation plans and QUA governance rhythms.

Key Responsibilities will include:
- Develop the strategic roadmap for implementation and execution of the Quality strategy within Safran Seats GB
- This role demands a high level of experience and competency in transformation and leadership to ensure effective implementation and participation at all levels of the Business.
- The role requires technical problem solving, therefore the position holder is expected to be able to quickly understand technical issues and help with their resolution through exploration, problem solving tools, and/or direct support.
- Liaise with key functional stakeholders to ensure business objectives are met
- Develop Quality metrics that underpin and enhance operational efficiency
- Undertake benchmarking for the strategic projects/activities that are monitored and measured
- With the VP Quality, establish and enforce robust governance frameworks to ensure compliance with industry standards and requirements
- Manage and report the progress of Quality strategy activities to the VP Quality, Seats GB Excom and Seats Company Level
- Work closely with existing Supply Chain, CI, and Engineering Transformation Managers for cross functional project deployment
- Define roadmap and planning of the Digital Strategy for Quality
- Delivery of ERP (M3) roadmap
- Manage Digital transformation within the quality function and processes
- Standardise and harmonise digital tools
- Ensure HSE objectives are maintained within the team to put “Safety First, Quality Always”
- Engage collaboratively as Business Process Manager for QUA, RSK and GOV
- Implement One Safran Quality process

Job Requirements

Degree level or equivalent in an Engineering / Manufacturing related discipline.
Lean / 6 Sigma knowledge and general improvement tools
Experience in aerospace (or similar) quality processes and procedures including QRQC and APQP
In-depth knowledge of Aerospace Regulations eg EASA, FAA, AS9100
Risk Analysis
Problem solving skills (including 8D, 5 whys)
