Head of Quality (UK) - Manufacturing

Haydock (Regular travel required)
up to £80,000 plus car plus bonus

The Role:

As Head of Quality, you will take the lead in shaping and delivering the quality strategy for a leading manufacturing organization. Managing multiple sites, you'll ensure best-in-class quality standards while continuously improving processes and systems. This is a role for someone who enjoys being hands-on, collaborating with teams, and working proactively to resolve quality challenges. With approximately 60% travel required, you'll be at the heart of operations, ensuring alignment across sites and driving a culture of quality excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a long-term quality strategy aligned with business objectives
Lead, mentor, and inspire a multisite Quality Assurance team
Oversee risk management, supplier quality, and process audits
Investigate and resolve quality issues using root cause analysis & corrective actions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC methodologies
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments, suppliers, and customers
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other regulatory requirementsWhat We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role within a regulated manufacturing environment (ideally aerospace)
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, quality tools, and methodologies (Six Sigma, SPC, 8D, FMEA)
Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills
Ability to influence stakeholders, drive change, and implement continuous improvement
