Due to internal promotion, our client is looking for a Food Science Technologist to join the Technical Team at their manufacturing facility in Gainsborough.

In this role, you will work at the cutting edge of food packaging, using science and technology to improve food safety, reduce waste and develop next-generation solutions for a range of food categories- from fresh produce to bakery and meats.

Key Tasks:

Conduct shelf-life trials, gas analysis and organoleptic testing to understand food-packaging interactions
Oversee laser and perforation trials, ensuring efficiency and reliability
Support customer projects by writing trial protocols, reports and managing data
Collaborate with customers, technical teams and production to create innovative, sustainable packaging solutions
Assist with training, presentations and external customer visits
Work with internal systems to maintain technical accuracy and complianceRequirements:

Qualified in Food Science, Biotechnology, Biology, or a similar related scientific field
Experience in a food science related role
Strong IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Adobe Illustrator is a plus
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites
Analytical mindset, self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment
