Our client, a leader in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking an Electrical/Avionics Fitter/Technician to join their team on a contract basis in Crawley. This position involves working with advanced flight simulators designed to support pilot training and simulation for airlines worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and avionics systems in flight simulators
Ensuring the correct functionality of complex avionics equipment and systems
Collaborating with design engineers to integrate avionics systems into simulator platforms
Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical and avionics components
Following technical manuals and schematics to precisely construct and repair simulator systems
Ensuring all work complies with safety and regulatory standards
Assisting in the testing and calibration of simulator instruments and controls
Providing technical support and guidance to other team members as needed

Job Requirements:

Experience as an Electrical Fitter or Avionics Technician in the aerospace or defence sectors
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and schematics
Understanding of advanced avionics and electrical systems utilised in flight simulators
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong commitment to safety and compliance protocols
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Relevant qualifications in electrical or avionics engineering
Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Contract Details:

This role is a contract position with an initial duration of 6 months, inside IR35. The client is flexible on rates and seeks a candidate who can start promptly to work on-site in Crawley.
