Salary:          £13.26 per hour

Direct Seafood Colchester is a passionate fish and seafood supplier who have been delivering local, quality fish and seafood since 1984. We have grown into a very reputable supplier delivering to chefs in the East & South East of England, as far as Brighton and up to Lincoln. Our main site is based in Colchester, with two satellite sites in Woolwich and Biggleswade. This role is based in Woolwich. 
Ethical Sourcing, animal welfare, sustainability, provenance and traceability are all paramount to everything we stand for. We work closely with NGOs such as MSC maintain the highest standards within our industry. Not only that we BRC accredited and are managed by passionate people with many years of experience in the seafood industry. Direct Seafood Colchester is part of Bidfresh.

As a Delivery Driver, you’ll play a key role in building lasting relationships with our customers by delivering their fresh produce on time, every time, and with a friendly, professional approach.
What you’ll be doing

Delivering fresh food and ingredients to chefs and professional kitchens across the region
Handling products with care to ensure they arrive in excellent condition
Communicating with customers in a professional, friendly way and resolving any issues confidently
Keeping accurate records of deliveries and returns
Loading and unloading goods, carrying out vehicle checks, and keeping the van clean and tidy

What we’re looking for

A full UK driving licence
Someone physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Great communication and people skills
The ability to work independently while being part of a wider supportive team
Basic IT skills, with confidence to use a company phone for communication and updates
Previous experience in multi-drop or foodservice delivery is an advantageWhy join us?

You’ll have:

Full UK manual driver’s license
 Previous multi-drop delivery experience is essential, preferably in the fresh food area
Good time management, punctual and reliable
Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to deliver exceptional service to customer
Demonstrates drive and positive approach to work
Team player
Flexible approach
Willingness to learn
Able to work well independently, must be enthusiastic and self-motivated
