Exciting Opportunity: Assembly Operative

Are you looking to embark on an exhilarating career in the aerospace industry? This company is seeking a talented Assembly Operative to join their dynamic team and play a vital role in saving lives worldwide.

Assembly Operative Role

As a Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for undertaking multi-skilled duties that will contribute to the success of the ejector seats produced on-site. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Handling explosive materials, goods, and components with the utmost care and precision
Accurately interpreting assembly drawings and production documents to ensure correct Part Numbers, Drawing Issues, Working Practices, and Batches are identified and recorded
Carrying out assembly work accurately, to the required tolerances
Using appropriate Weighing Equipment and Tools relevant to specific batches
Performing self-inspection and quality checks on your work
Updating SAP to ensure accurate recording of work in progress

The Ideal Assembly Operative

To excel in this role, you will need:

Basic production or manufacturing experience gained from a similar environment
A basic understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings
A solid grounding in health and safety policies and procedures
The ability to work under pressure and balance competing priorities to meet agreed deadlines
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
The ability to follow instructions, whether verbal or written
