Sales Engineer

A field-based territory sales role inheriting an established and well performing area, selling a range of precision cutting tools, fixings, industrial and engineering supplies into end-users across a wide range of vertical markets, including construction, engineering and manufacturing.

Package: circa £35k-£40k basic with both a monthly commission and quarterly bonus scheme. Hybrid company car, 25 days holiday and pension scheme
Territory: Devon, Somerset & Cornwall
Products: Precision cutting tools, fixings, fasteners, abrasives, adhesives, workwear, PPE and industrial supplies
Customers: Commercial and industrial end-users across construction, engineering, manufacturing, rail & transport, aerospace, automotive, medical, food & beverage…

The Role – Technical Area Sales Manager:

  • You will inherit an established area and be responsible for managing, developing and increasing sales from an existing portfolio of accounts

  • Whilst equally identifying and winning new business opportunities

  • Leading with a range of precision cutting tools, but with fixings, fasteners, abrasives, adhesives, workwear, PPE and industrial supplies to up-sell

  • Selling into end-users across a number of vertical markets, including construction, engineering, manufacturing, rail & transport, aerospace, automotive, medical, food & beverage, public sector…

  • You will also work alongside and track projects with your manufacturing partners

    The Successful Applicant - Technical Area Sales Manager:

  • You will be a field sales professional with a consultative and structured approach to sales

  • Applicants with an industrial cutting tools and equipment background will be readily received

  • Although this is not essential and my client will equally consider other technical sales backgrounds with transferable skills

  • You will be as comfortable developing existing relationships, as you are tracking and winning new business
