Working for a world recognised aerospace and defence manufacturer the role is primarily responsible for management of strategic Aluminium (Extrusions) suppliers, to be based at their facility in Filton, Bristol

You will be accountable and responsible to deliver Multiple Function Team (MFT) projects on Time, Cost and Quality and accountable for ensuring end-to-End management of the Aluminium ConBid Process (ConBid is the process under which the organisation controls the demand and production of aluminium for its complete supply chain)

Prior buying experience and technical knowledge of the supply of aluminium/Metals ESSENTIAL

Main activities:

Manage projects in the framework of the MFT including project planning, reporting to CSG leader Manager, financial adherence)
Responsible for developing & maintaining key supplier and internal stakeholder relations
Negotiate contract terms and conditions
ensure contract change management, supported by contract manager
Responsible for supplier contractual review meetings
Support and contribute to supplier development initiatives corresponding to the actual and future supplier performance
Support and contribute to definition of development targets (for example cost reduction measures, Quality and delivery performance targets)
Support and contribute to deployment of the commodity strategy (market intelligence, etc.) using our Commercial & procurement strategy and policy
Contribute to company cost improvement programs by identifying opportunities, establishing roadmap, coordinating activities, negotiating commercial agreement with the contributions of the impacted programs and functions
Supervise & support Transfer of Work (ToW) activities for the market / suppliers
Coordinates availability of commercial and contractual elements to secure enablement
In the frame of MFT, manages risk related to suppliers (financial, strategy, monopoly...) and define appropriate mitigation action
Lead Call for Tenders to ensure business needs, propose supplier selection and coordinate selection report
Lead MFT during supplier selection process through Call for tenders processes managed in MFT
Perform/participate to regular supplier reviews/assessments
Accountable for consistency between contract terms & conditions, and the information system (SAP…).
In the frame of PMM enabling policy, ensure that key Group subcontractors have the opportunity to be enabled and/or able to procure against our contract terms and conditions using the Enablement process.
Ensuring end-to-End management of the Aluminium ConBid. Including but not limited to (i) continuous monitoring of aluminium demand evolution, (ii) optimize demand allocation to maximize savings, (iii) analysis of Enabled Suppliers Demand changes (i.e. Change Requests), (iv) identification of potential contractual breaches and mitigations proposal…
Skills/Experience:

Prior Buyer or supply chain experience ESSENTIAL
Technical knowledge of supply of materials specifically aluminium/Metals
Experience in working with international suppliers
SAP experience
Comfortable in complex environment with stakeholders
Contract management
Amongst others, the jobholder will deliver the following outputs:

Suppliers selection through call for tender process
Project reviews / minutes of meetings
Contracts negotiations and Contract validation forms & Commercial agreements
Contract reviews and Senior Management Reviews (SMR) with key suppliers
