We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Sheetmetal Worker to join a leading and growing manufacturing company based near Christchurch.

Introduction

The primary role of the Sheetmetal Worker will involve working with thin gauge aluminium.

Responsibilities:

  • Shrinking, stretching and rolling of sheetmetal

  • Fabricating and assembling sheet metal products.

  • Setting up and operating fabricating machines as well as hand tools to cut, bend and straighten.

  • Shaping over anvils, blocks or forms.

  • Inspecting, assembling and smoothing seems and joints of welded, brazed or burred surfaces.

  • Work to all H&S procedures and processes

  • Support in training of employees as required.

    Ideal Experience:

    Preferably experience within the aerospace industry with thin gauge aluminium experience. For candidates without previous / current aerospace experience, however posses excellent sheetmetal skills and have worked with thin gauge sheetmetal within other sectors, with the right attitude and willingness to develop into aerospace please also apply as for the right candidate their will be an opportunity to develop your skills.

    Salary:

    £34,500 - £38,500

    Hours: 37 per week, which can be worked across 4 days or 4.5 days

    Overtime: Paid at Time 1/2
