We are looking for an experienced TIG welder / Finisher to work in fabrication for our Ely based client.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately TIG weld stainless, mild steel, zintec and aluminium to a very high standard using a foot pedal. Typical material thickness is 1mm to 3mm
  • Welding of box section frames and assemblies to a high standard within tight tolerances
  • Dressing and finishing own work using a variety of hand tools including electric angle grinders and pneumatic orbital sander
  • Ensuring all parts manufactured conform to the issued drawing and work instructions and are completed within timescales
  • Developing new products in line with customer requirements for light to medium fabrications
  • Fabrication of jigs and fixtures where applicable.
  • General sheet metal work and finishing to support the fabrication department.

    Requirements:

  • Proven welding ability with a good eye for detail.
  • Competent completing paperwork required for AS 9100 BSI accreditation standards
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions and interpret and follow customer drawings.
  • Able to work accurately to a high standard both individually and as part of a team.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
