The consultancy is part of an international engineering group that specialises in advanced capital equipment and technological solutions for the metals industry, including aluminium and steel.

Role Overview

As a Sustainability Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and supporting clients in understanding and improving their environmental performance. You'll also contribute to the development of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), sustainability models, and training programmes. This is a highly collaborative position that will involve working closely with multi-disciplinary teams on innovative projects that shape sustainability strategies across industry.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and deliver robust Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) in accordance with ISO standards.

Support the creation and verification of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).

*

Develop models to assess and improve environmental impacts of industrial processes and products.

*

Produce sustainability insight reports and technical guidance documents.

*

Deliver workshops and training sessions to internal teams and external stakeholders.

*

Collaborate with research and technical teams to integrate sustainability into product and process development.

*

Monitor and interpret regulatory and industry developments related to sustainability and carbon accounting.

*

Ensure timely delivery of projects in line with client expectations and internal financial targets.

About You

*

A degree in engineering, materials science, or a related technical field.

*

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an industrial or research setting, working on LCA or sustainability-related projects.

*

Some Experience in LCA software tools such as GaBi, SimaPro, or openLCA would be advantageous but not essential.

*

Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with an ability to turn complex findings into clear, actionable insights.

*

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

*

Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results to tight deadlines.

*

A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for driving environmental progress.

*

Knowledge of materials manufacturing processes is desirable but not essential.
