Account Manager

Job Location: Fareham, Hampshire

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £43,000 - £45,000 per annum + quarterly bonus and excellent benefits

Hours: 37 hours, Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm & Friday 8.00am – 13.00pm

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world-renowned company within the Customer Delivery Team as an Account Manager.

Founded over 100 years ago, the company has an excellent reputation for the design & manufacture of aerospace components and parts.

As an Account Manager working within a busy team, you will be working with a portfolio of prestigious key accounts managing and delivering the customer order book, updating customers of progress, delivery timescales, any issues that have arose and working with them to look at their business demands and how the company can help fulfil those requirements.

Due to having customers worldwide, there will be the need for occasional travel to visit those customers.

Key duties will include;

  • Proactively pursuing new bids and business opportunities

  • Managing and delivering customer order books

  • Overseeing sales order processing and purchase order reviews

  • Assisting with customer enquiries including updates on order progress, product information, lead times, costs and deliveries

  • Building relationships with key accounts to manage expectations, find out any future requirements, via phone, teams or face to face

  • Ensuring compliance to regulatory standards and liaising with export trade compliance team

  • Liaising with various departments around the business including production and despatch

    The successful applicant will have;

  • Previous Account Management experience.

  • Knowledge of either manufacturing, engineering or aerospace sectors would be advantageous

  • B2B experience working with large high-value accounts

  • A natural ability to build rapport and provide excellent customer service.

  • Excellent organisational, multitasking and prioritising skills.

  • Good IT skills, experience with Microsoft programmes including Excel, Word and Outlook.
