The below job description will outline this position of Welding / Fabrication Foreman.

Typically, this person will be responsible for supervising welding and fabrication activities, managing employees and subcontractors, and ensuring work is completed safely, to the required quality standards, on time and within budget. The role supports management in maintaining compliance with health, safety and company procedures.

Duties and responsibilities of the Welding / Fabrication Foreman.

• Supervise and monitor welding and fabrication work to ensure quality, safety and procedural compliance

• Manage labour, materials, consumables and equipment in line with job requirements and budgets

• Report job progress and any cost or programme risks to management

• Ensure RAMS, permits to work and safe systems (including Take 5) are in place and followed

• Maintain good housekeeping, timekeeping, conduct and control of tools and equipment

• Support procurement of materials and attend site surveys and quotation activities when required

• Be available for on-call or emergency response as required

Qualifications and requirements for the Welding / Fabrication Foreman:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in marine or civil engineering

• Proven experience supervising personnel and managing work output and quality

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
