Programme-Level PA Generalist - Satellite Communications

A Programme-Level Project Assurance (PA) Generalist in a Satellite Communications environment plays a central role in overseeing quality, compliance, and governance across a multi-segment, often international programme involving space and ground segment components.

Key Responsibilities:

Assurance Across Programme Segments
  • Ensure cohesive PA practices across all streams (space, ground, network, operations), aligning delivery teams, subcontractors, and partners .
  • Liaise with US-based PA leads to harmonise assurance methodologies and standards across the broader programme.
Space Industry Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure alignment with aerospace quality and assurance standards (eg, ECSS, ISO 9001, ESA-specific requirements).
  • Oversee compliance with export controls (eg, ITAR, EAR) and security requirements specific to satcom missions.
Design & Lifecycle Assurance
  • Support formal reviews across the satellite system life cycle (eg, SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.).
  • Validate processes for risk, issue, change, and configuration management across both hardware and software domains.
Supplier & Partner Coordination
  • Engage with industrial partners, subcontractors, and international agencies to ensure assurance consistency across contractual boundaries.
  • Monitor supplier PA activities and support acceptance processes (eg, AIV, QA hold points, test readiness).
Quality Oversight
  • Produce integrated assurance reporting to programme leadership.
  • Support internal and external audits, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives across the programme.
