About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deburr Technician to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer supplying components to highly regulated industries, including aerospace and advanced engineering sectors.

Working as part of a skilled production team, you will be responsible for deburring and finishing machined components to exact specifications, ensuring all products meet strict quality standards and customer requirements.

This role would suit someone with excellent attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deburr machined components in accordance with engineering drawings, batch cards, and work instructions.
  • Carry out finishing operations including drilling, countersinking, chamfering, tapping, trimming, polishing and edge breaking.
  • Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to achieve required finishes.
  • Inspect and measure components using callipers, gauges and inspection fixtures.
  • Ensure all work meets required quality standards and specifications.
  • Handle precision-engineered components with care and attention.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
  • Follow company health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and team activities.
  • Assist with overtime requirements when production demands require additional support.

  • Previous manufacturing or engineering experience.
  • Experience deburring metal components.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment.
  • Aerospace, precision engineering or nuclear industry experience.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement or 5S principles.
