Job Description:

SECURITY CLEARANCE:Must have or be able to obtain UK Eyes Only SC Security Clearance via the UK Intelligence Community (UKIC) process.

LOCATION:Newport (South Wales), Chippenham (Wiltshire), Portsmouth or Stevenage (with some hybrid working available subject to our Hybrid Working Policy)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join an exciting organisation and actively contribute towards the target achievement and growth of the business through the evaluation of future programmes and winning of new business.

The position sits within a dedicated finance team supporting business growth and strategic future programmes. The team provides finance expertise to bids and proposals, developing cost evaluation and pricing models; evaluation of new business opportunities as well as supporting the sales and strategy teams in the control of their costs.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Actively managing the financial evaluation of new business and strategic partnership opportunities

  • Liaising with key project and risk managers to understand programme costs and risks and ensuring that these are appropriately provided for.

  • Developing and maintaining complex pricing/revenue models including the derivation and recommendation of customer pricing options.

  • Conducting Investment appraisal, including the use of DCF techniques.

  • Providing financial advice to support project teams in the decision making process.

  • Making financial recommendations, including support to customer and supplier negotiations as appropriate.

  • Preparation and presentation of necessary financial information to support governance processes.

  • Preparation of financial responses to customer bids & proposals and support of negotiations.

  • Supporting cost controlling activities to ensure the development of robust operating plans and budget adherence.

ABOUT YOU

  • Qualified Accountant (Preferably ACCA, ACMA or ACA) with >3 years post qualification experience.

  • Experience of Bid and Project financial management and Financial modelling

  • Experience of supporting and analysing business decision making.

  • Microsoft Office – Particularly Excel & Word.
