Fortress Recruit is proud to partner with a global leader in aerospace systems, to hire a number of contract CNC Machinists for their UK site in Fareham, Hampshire.

The CNC Machinists sit within a highly skilled manufacturing team, supporting the precision machining of flight-critical components for civil and defence aviation platforms. Working to exacting aerospace standards, you’ll contribute to the delivery of small-batch, high-specification parts that meet rigorous quality and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

Setting and operating CNC turning and/or milling machines

Interpreting engineering drawings and job cards to produce complex aerospace components

*

Performing in-process checks and first-off inspections

*

Making minor adjustments to offsets and tooling as required

*

Supporting lean manufacturing principles and maintaining a clean, safe work area

To succeed in this role, you will have:

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a precision engineering or aerospace environment

*

Confidence working to tight tolerances and with small batch/one-off parts

*

Familiarity with Fanuc, Mazatrol, or similar CNC control systems

*

A methodical, quality-driven mindset and ability to self-inspect using conventional measurement tools

*

Availability to commit to a full-time, site-based role

These are 6-month contracts based on-site in Fareham, offering an hourly rate starting from £18.05 per hour PAYE, plus shift allowance (earlies or lates) and with overtime offered. You'll be joining a world-class manufacturing facility with excellent processes, tooling, and support teams in place.
